The beach is lovely to walk along it's also not far away from the park. The live entertainment has been amazing so far there is a lack of phone signal on site but that hasn't stopped us from enjoying the facilities the park staff are all friendly and really good with children it has been a really pleasant stay so far we look forward to returning again next year.
We really enjoyed our stay at Thorness Bay. The location is lovely, and rural. The park itself is kept clean and tidy. We had a minor issue with out TV and someone was around within minutes of us notifying them. The only thing I would fault is that the water temperature was extremely high for the shower and taps- due to young children we felt we had to manually change the temperature on the boiler as the shower was not great and felt restricted to cool down the water! Apart from that everything was good as expected hence 5 stars!
Stayed here for a weekend recently, the lodges are a but smaller than others but myself partner, baby and dogs still fit in perfectly and the rest of the facilities were great plus its a 2 minute walk to the beach.
I have stayed at this Holiday Park several times in the past. As it is a great location especially for families. It has very good facilities on the park, club house, with full live entertainment, bingo. A separate bar area, amusement arcade. Children's playground park along with a indoor swimming pool. The only thing which I will mention the on site shops prices need alot to be desired at £2.70 for a loaf of bread. All in all otherwise I would definitely recommend this as a good holiday park.
This was a brilliant week away with the kids on the isle of wight. The park has loads to offer and the evening entertainment for the kids was great ..lovely views and a quick walk down to the bay from the club house we did most evenings. has shop and laundrette on site..food was nice In the clubhouse ..staff are very friendly and helpful
Lovely location with beach access. Shop, chippy and restaurant are all fine. Tent pitches are a decent size and showers are hot. Good base for visiting tourist attractions. Only improvement really would be to put families with children much further away from people without children. It's a big site so it should be possible.
We stayed at Parkdean resort at Thorness bay for 4 nights and I can honestly say it was a brilliant holiday. The old roads in the resort were a lot left to be desired but it did not take away from the view, the upgraded lodge we chosen and the food was excellent. The ice cream was amazing and the location was a reasonable drive from pretty much everything. I will definitely be coming here again.
We had a really lovely stay at Thorness Bay Caravan Park. The caravan was clean and comfortable, and the site itself had plenty to do – the kids especially enjoyed the arcade, the 3G football pitch, and the basketball courts. Evening entertainment was a fun bonus too. One of the highlights was the beautiful beach just a short walk away – really peaceful and scenic. We did notice quite a few wasps around the site, which was a bit annoying at times. Also, the food and drink on-site were a little pricey for the quality, but not a dealbreaker. Overall, my family and I had a great time and would happily come back!
